In this workshop we will look at some of the technical essentials of Contact Improvisation, like giving & taking weight and leading & following for a deeper understanding of our options when improvising is based on physical touch.

But underneath and above all technical skills our practice is about noticing and creating connections: within our body, towards dance partners and to the whole group. This is more a question around our general attitude and mind set- and they create these rewarding connections to other areas of our lives, too.

This workshop is welcoming complete beginners as well as long term practitioners of Contact Improvisation. Coming together with the wish to kick start Contact Improvisation in Brisbane after a year of social distancing.

We are very lucky to be living in a place where physical contact in a group is okay. In this time of global pandemic crisis the future is unknown so it is great to make the most of this opportunity we have.
