We are excited to return with our third Woven retreat, weaving together passions for a deep nature connection, somatic practice of Contact Improvisation, and community.
Our focus at Woven is awareness and connection. Through previous retreats we’ve found our being relates more deeply to nature when somatically informed. We also notice that through nature connection our awareness heightens and our dances deepen. Tuning in to the group, the land and our bodies we’ll connect and investigate these threads and crossovers.
At this retreat some sessions will be in a studio, with others by the sea and in the bush. Over the days there will be several jams. There will also be solo time, witnessing and other constellations and offers. There will be less time for CI dancing than at “usual” CI retreats where CI is the only focus.
In small groups and the wider village we’ll find ways in which we are supported and nurtured. We also all have a role in caring for others and the collective.
We welcome people with at least some experience of the CI form, who are comfortable to navigate through open frames, and who are curious to explore beyond the walls of the studio.

TIMING: Arrival – from 12noon, by 3pm Wednesday, Departure – by 4pm Sunday
